The Hong Kong soprano, Chung Wing Kwan (Zara), is a soloist in the opera/operetta section of ZAV-Künstlervermittlung in Germany, a resident artist of Teatro Grattacielo in the United States and a singer in the database of NYIOP in the United States and In Opera Veritas in France. She is a second prize winner of the 2021 International Viennese Spring Music Competition organized by Gloria Artis in Vienna, a finalist of the 38th Piero Boni International Opera Singing Competition, and a semifinalist of the 2nd Corsica Lirica International Singing Competition.

Chung gave her debut as Zaïre in Rameau's LES INDES GALANTES at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium in 2016. In January 2018, she sang as Alice in Verdi's FALSTAFF at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In July 2019, she performed Erste Dame and Erste Knabe in Mozart's DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. In August 2019, she performed Wellgunde in Wagner's DAS RHEINGOLD organized by Dramatic Voices Program Berlin, which brought about her first appearance in the Classical Singer Magazine in the United States. In September 2019, she covered Clorinda in Rossini's LA CENERENTOLA organized by International Belcanto Academy in De Bilt in the Netherlands. In February 2020, she joined the co-production of Mozart's DON GIOVANNI between Lyric Opera Studio Weimar and Theater Rudolstadt, performing Donna Anna under the baton of Maestro Oliver Weder from Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. Before that, she also performed La Contessa in Mozart's LE NOZZE DI FIGARO at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in January 2020. In September 2021, she toured with Teatro Grattacielo to perform Elettra from Mozart's IDOMENEO at the Rhodes International Festival. In November 2021, she sang Elettra again with the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra at the Cultural Conference Center of Heraklion Crete, conducted by Maestro Myron Michailidis from the Erfurt Opera and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Erfurt. In November 2022, she made her debut as Lucy in Menotti's THE TELEPHONE at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre, conducted by Maestra Vivian Ip, which brought about her first appearance in The Works hosted by Radio Television Hong Kong. In July 2023, she performed Susanna in Mozart's LE NOZZE DI FIGARO in Cluj-Napoca with Atelidra and Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection under the baton of Maestro David Aronson.

Chung first appeared as a soloist in WEIHNACHTSORATORIUM by Chung Chi Choir of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014. Later, she also performed as a soloist at Pauluskerk in Breukelen in the Netherlands. In 2018 and 2019, she was the soloist in concerts of the choir and string orchestra at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In July 2019, she performed in the opera gala concerts with Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. In August 2019, she gave her mini Lieder recital at Knutson Studios in Berlin. In February 2020, she toured with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar around Germany and performed in four opera gala concerts. In September 2021, she toured with Teatro Grattacielo to perform in the Maria Callas gala concert at the Rhodes International Festival.

In 2021 and 2022, Chung was the adjudicator for the vocal category of the Hong Kong Music Talent Competition.

Chung completed her bachelor's degree in singing under the tutelage of Ms. Chan Siu Kwan at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with honors. In the meanwhile, she continued her piano study under the tutelage of Dr. Kwok Ka Ho. After completing her master's degree in singing at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with distinction, she continued pursuing her postgraduate degree in singing in the class of Ms. Valérie Guillorit at the same conservatory, for which she completed with a grand distinction. She is a holder of Licentiate Trinity College London vocal and piano performance certificates, both with outstanding scores (97/100 for voice and 90/100 for piano), and DipABRSM piano performance certificate. In 2016, she was awarded Lee Bing Memorial Scholarship and Holland Scholarship for her master's degree study at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. In 2019, she was awarded a scholarship from Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. In 2020, she was awarded scholarships from Opernfest Prague and Vienna Opera Academy.

Chung has worked with world class conductors and singers such as Ms. Barbara Bonney, Maestro Jean-Christophe Charron from Komische Oper Berlin, Maestro Byron Knutson from Komische Oper Berlin, and Maestro Aldert Vermeulen from Dutch National Opera and Ballet. She has performed in a lot of masterclasses in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Czech Republic.
